The Matrimandir and the communities are a few kilometres from the gate. Guests spend the day in Auroville and the night in a family room or villa here.
Auroville visits work better with a fixed base nearby than with a hotel in the middle of town. This resort is that base: near the Pondicherry entrance gate and JIPMER, with dinner waiting when you return.
Ask us for the current way in to the Matrimandir viewing point before you set out. Passes and timings change, and we would rather tell you the day’s rule than print one that is already old.
